Dr. Nutan Agarwal

Dr. Nutan Agarwal is one of India's most respected gynaecologists, currently leading the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Artemis Hospital in Gurgaon. With a career spanning over three decades, she is known for her pioneering work in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery, reproductive medicine, and advanced obstetric care. Her educational journey is truly international. Dr. Agarwal completed her MBBS and MS at the prestigious King George Medical College in Lucknow, before going on to earn a Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine in Sydney, Australia, and a Fetal Medicine Fellowship at King's College Hospital in London. She also trained at the Ian Donald Medical School in Croatia — a globally recognised centre for ultrasound in obstetrics. Earlier in her career, she held a faculty position at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, and worked within its Fetal Medicine Division, where she managed some of the most complex referral cases in the country.

Dr. Agarwal has broken new ground in her field on multiple occasions. She developed a novel intravenous Autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy to improve uterine lining and was the first in India to treat Asherman syndrome using an amnion graft with hysteroscopy. She has also introduced an autologous platelet-rich fibrin technique for patients experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss. Her academic contributions are equally significant — she has published extensively in national and international journals and has served as Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
