Dr. Meenakshi Sharma

Dr. Meenakshi Sharma is one of Delhi NCR's most experienced general and laparoscopic surgeons, with over 28 years of hands-on surgical practice. She currently leads the Department of General and Laparoscopic Surgery — including Bariatric Surgery — at Paras Hospitals, Gurugram, as its Chief and Head of Department. Her clinical focus centres on minimally invasive surgery, hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction, and metabolic and bariatric procedures, giving patients access to a wide range of surgical solutions under one expert's care.

Dr. Sharma's training journey is truly international. After completing her foundational degrees in India — MBBS, MS, and DNB — she pursued advanced fellowships in laparoscopic hernia surgery (FALS) and gastrointestinal endo-surgery (FIAGES), followed by a specialist Fellowship in Abdominal Wall Reconstruction. She then trained at two globally respected institutions: the Cleveland Clinic in the United States and the University of Ulm in Germany. Each of these experiences sharpened her skills in techniques that are not yet widely available across South Asia, and she has brought those learnings directly into her operating theatre in Gurugram.
