Dr. Dinesh Kini K is a Senior Consultant in Medical Gastroenterology and Hepatobiliary Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru. With over 35 years of clinical experience, he brings deep expertise in complex gastrointestinal and liver disorders. Dr. Kini completed his DNB in Medicine (1994) and DNB in Gastroenterology (1996) from KMC Hospital, Mangalore, and trained as a Senior Fellow at the prestigious Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi. He has also served as Assistant Professor at KMC Hospital and Director of the Sagar Institute of Gastroenterology and HPB Sciences.

Dr. Kini is known for his proficiency in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, including ERCP, endoscopic hemostasis, endoscopic dilatation, and GI stenting. He specialises in treating chronic pancreatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, inflammatory bowel conditions such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and complex hepatobiliary malignancies. He played a major role in establishing and directing liver transplant programmes at leading hospitals in Bengaluru and is recognised as a thought leader in hepatology and interventional endoscopy. He regularly serves as an examiner for DNB Gastroenterology finals conducted by the National Board of India.
